The business hours are Monday through Friday from 07:30 to 18:30. For children under 18 months only reduced hours from 08:30 to 17:30 are possible. Morning childcare spans the hours from 07:30 to 11:30, midday care spans the hours from 11:30 to 14:00, afternoon childcare spans the hours from 14:00 to 17:30.

The MoZ stays closed for two weeks over Christmas/New Years, two weeks in summer (exact dates according to annual plan school year) as well as on the following holidays and bridge days: Good Friday, Easter Monday, Ascension, Friday after Ascension, Pentecost Monday, Corpus Christi, Friday after Corpus Christi, Feast of the Assumption, All Saints, Feast of the Immaculate Conception as well as at most three more days. The kindergarten closes early at 4:00 PM before holiday weeks and holidays. During the two weeks before summer break the business hours are 08:30 to 17:30.

Start of care, end of care

In principle, entry is possible every Monday. The ordinary termination of the contract must be made in writing and is possible at any time with a notice period of three months

Minimum childcare hours

The minimum care time is 40% weekly (our recommendation is at least 60%). After the child's transition to our Kinderhaus (from about 3 years of age), the mandatory minimum weekly amount of care is 60% in order to support integration in the group and positive development.

Children in the mandatory kindergarten year residing in the Canton of Zug must attend at least four mornings and two afternoons in accordance with official requirements.

Group Structure of the children

From a group dynamics perspective, mixed age groups of children with varying group sizes and structures for play and for learning facilitate the best implementation of the Montessori teaching concept. The group is crucial in creating opportunities for a child to engage in individual and independent activity and social learning.

Our group structure is therefore flexible and shaped by the children and their requirements and preferences. According to each activity, the children are looked after by pedagogically qualified supervisors, specialized in-house and external specialists and persons in training. The main responsibility for the overall programme of a child is carried by his or her key-teacher, who is also the main contact person for the parents.

For children between 3 and 18 months, there is only limited integration into the other groups.

„Help me to do it myself" (Maria Montessori)

Children want to be independent of adults. Children WANT to do tasks themselves if they are capable of doing so.
